Rosedale Abbey Golf Course is a relaxed 9 hole course set in the heart of the North York Moors, with fantastic views across the surrounding countryside.
The holes range from approximately 70 to 120 yards, making the course suitable for beginners, casual golfers, families, and visitors to the area. The course has a friendly, informal atmosphere with no strict dress code, allowing players of all abilities to enjoy a straightforward and relaxed round of golf.
Facilities & Club Hire
Clubs and trolleys are available to hire, but please call ahead to arrange if required. You'll also find cold drinks (when available), seating near the golf hut, toilet facilities, and parking available for visitors.

Rosedale Abbey Golf Course is open to all ages and abilities, with no membership required. Green fees can be paid by card if arranged in advance, or by cash via the honesty box outside the hut.
Families and spectators are welcome, with a few seats available by the golf hut. Please note that under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. Due to the natural slopes and uneven ground around the course, it may not be suitable for visitors with limited mobility.
Course Rules & Safety
Please take care while on the course, especially on sloping or uneven ground, and be aware of other players at all times.
- Stand clear of golfers swinging clubs
- Slopes can be slippery, please take care
- Be aware of other players on the course
- Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult
- Please keep pace and clear greens promptly
- No swapping of clubs is permitted
- No dogs unless agreed with management
- Use bins provided to help keep the course tidy
Seasonal Score Challenge
At the end of the season, prizes are awarded for the best 9 hole score on the course. It's a fun way to add a bit of friendly competition, so make sure to take a score card with you!
